RYZE AI HACK — SMALL MODELS

Project submission

Three easy steps to submit your project.

Before you submit: the checklist

Your project is accepted if and only if all of these are true.

  1. Public GitHub repo. The code lives in a repository at github.com/....
  2. Created after Sep 10, 2026. Repositories older than this are rejected.
  3. Compliant README. The first line of README.md is exactly: This project was submitted to the ryze.ai hackathon by [NAME OF SUBMITTER]. (Replace the bracketed name with your own.)
  4. Clear indication. The README states the project is submitted to the Ryze AI hackathon.

As long as these are met, your project is accepted and sent to judging. The 500M / no-API rules are then verified during review.

Step 1 — Create the repo

  • Create a new, public repository on GitHub (after Sep 10).
  • Push your code. Add a license (MIT, Apache 2.0, etc. — OSI-approved).
  • Write a clean README.md. Start it with the required first line:
This project was submitted to the ryze.ai hackathon by Jane Doe.

# My Cool On-Device App
A short one-sentence description...

## What it does
...

## How to run
1. Clone: git clone https://github.com/you/my-cool-app
2. ...

## The model
Model: DistilBERT-base (66M params)
Inference: local, via transformers.js — no external API calls.
License: MIT

Step 2 — Submit via the site

Go to the home page, click "Submit your project" (you must register first), and fill in two fields:

  • GitHub repository URL — must be a github.com link. Non-GitHub links are rejected.
  • Email for correspondence — the address we'll use to tell you your result and ranking.

Both fields are required. Use the form below to submit directly from this page.

Step 3 — What happens next

  • Your submission is queued for judging.
  • Judges verify the README, the repo date, and the model constraints.
  • After judging closes, we email every submitter their result and ranking.
  • The winner is announced in a livestream on Nov 12, 2026.

Common reasons submissions are rejected (don't do these)
